Cory(s) for me?

My tank: 12 gallon Eclipse housing 5 Harlequin Rasboras, 1 Hillstream Loach.

Decoration: 1 bubbler, two plastic plants (one broadleaf, one bushy, but fairly tall), a sunken ship claimed by the Hilly. "Standard" aquarium gravel. I do an approx. 20% water change weekly.

I've gotten different advice on this, no to cories, one is okay, need six of 'em...kinda runs the gamut.

Obviously six is way too much for my tank but would 1 or 2 work? And if so, any specific types to look for/steer clear of? I'd really like one (or two) but if they won't work in this tank, then they won't work.

Thanks!

you dont have too many fish at the moment so i think that 2-3 and maybe 4 but not sure. could fit in there. they perfer as many as you can and all you can fit is 2-3 so that will be ok. it doesnt really matter what kind you get, they are all great! everyone will give you a different opinion but really what ever one you like the best will work! dont worry you wont be overstocking!

sry i thought i read hexagon... for this i am unsure but a tank that small is a push.. i myself just recently purchased 4 emerald cories for a 10 gallon but it would apear to be a longer tank than this but 4-5 2inch or less cories should be fine...

Thanks! I must say I was steeling myself for a consensus that they wouldn't be right for my tank so this is a happy thread :) I also wasn't aware or pygmy cories - are they commonly available? They would seem to be the best bet as I could keep a decent amount and they'd have room to maneuver the substrate.
