Is this a common pleco?

Hi there! I just "rescued" a group of fish being displaced by a move, including this pleco. I assume he's a common pleco, but I've never had one before, so I figured I would ask y'all to confirm what sort of pleco he is. Thanks in advance. =)

Looks like a washed out common to me.

On a complete other hand, see that hornwort in the back right corner? It needs to be tied to something or floating. When buried it will rot.

Thanks, and thanks! I just got that today, and obviously had no idea what to do with it. I'll let it loose until I can anchor it.

At first when I looked at it, I thought it was a "Scribbled Pleco". But it looks like a really nice color variation of a common pleco. Pretty!

Thanks y'all. He (or she?) colored up some today. I figured it was a common, I was hoping he might be a smaller species. It'll be a temporary foster, I guess, as he won't fit in my 29G tank for long. I'm fonder of the little sucker than I thought I would be, so I picked up a clown pleco to keep. =)
