clown pleco help

hey everybody whats up with these clowns they all just like to hide all day is there any way to get them out in the oepn instead of hiding in caves boats and light house even ten mins would be nice all i see is the tip of his nose sticking out the boat lol rest him always hidin food dont work pellets cucumbers wood dont even work he wont even eat the wood i dont know how he lives must be big build up of algea in the caves boats idk any ideas are open

oh and off subject anybody who has cichlids go outside pick rock up get warmm throw it in ur tank and watch how funny ur cichlids get its priceless

A lot of plecos are nocturnal. He probably comes out at night to eat. Drop in a wafer for him after you turn out the lights to make sure he's getting enough to eat.

Clowns can be really shy. Maybe try propping a piece of driftwood in the front corner of the tank so that it forms a kind of cave? He might try hanging out there and that way you'll be able to see him better.
