Question Bumblebee Cat Fish

When I was out searching for plants yesterday I cam across these little guys. I would be interested in getting one to add to my aquarium. But I would like to get some clear information on them before I do so.

I read online they could reach 2 inches and other sites said 4 inches. Some sites said 10 gallons is efficiant and others said 20 gallons. Also most sites said they are easy to care for.

Does anyone have any experience with them?

If a 10 gallon is efficiant for one I would be able to keep it once my cories are moved to my 55 gallon. But if it should be kept in a larger tank I probably wont get one.

I have had them before. I have only kept one at a time and have never found anything stating they should be kept a larger group. I would like to tell you that they are largely nocturnal and very rarely were mine out with the lights on. They like lots of spots to hide and will usually come out to accept food. They usually get to around 3 to 3.5 inches and mine loved sinking shrimp pellets. I often went days without seeing them come out of hiding. Like many other cats they will eat most anything that will fit in their mouth so be careful with tank mates. As for your 10 gallon tank it should be fine, as long as the ph and other parameters are within range. They like 69-77 degrees and 6.5 to 7 ph range.

20 Gallon Planted Guppy tank. Amazon Sword, Dwarf Hairgrass, Cardinalis.
55 Gallon -1 BN Pleco, 1 High Fin Syndontis, 1 Oto, ~18 Kenyi Cichlids
