Please disregard the pygmy cory post in this forum, I can't delete the post anymore. Since posting that I've learned that they are not a good choice with a dwarf cichlid harem.

But how about either of the choices in the topic title? Would these fit in to a 25 gallon with 1+2 apistogramma borellii harem plus 6 x nannostomus marginatus?

I'd like to have some fish that also eat algae.

I'd suggest a bristlenose pleco. Much hardier, and better for water that is of a higher ph. Mine do a great job in more neutral, soft water and in my tank with a ph of 8.0

Just because animals can't talk, does not mean they should not be heard
