How do bristlenose plecos normally act? I know they hide a lot during the day which is fine. What I am mainly wondering about is when they eat; do they normally come out gung ho for food or do they just hide until night time and come out for the leftovers?
I have been trying to turn the light off in the room for about 30 minutes after the tank light is out and before I go to bed so I can toss in an algae wafer without the tiger barbs swarming it. I tried sweet potato last night but I didn't notice either the bristlenose or the clown pleco going for it. The tiger barbs were interested but didn't make too much of a dent in it. I am going to stop at the store tonight to pick up some zucchini and try that but I want to make sure they are getting enough to eat.
The bristlenose was acting a little off yesterday which has me wondering if he is eating enough.
