Anyone own bristlenose (bushynose) plecos? I am interested in adding one to my newly cycled 30 gallon. Anyone have ph of 8.0 or higher and have one of these guys? My ph is 8.2. I'm thinking it's possible to have one in my tank, just as long as I take a long while to acclimate him. Thanks for any info!
I've got one. Great fish. My ph is 7.8. I'd think you'd be able to have one as long as you acclimate him properly. Glad you've been able to start stocking your 30g. How exciting!!
I know, they are starting to swim around a bit more now to. The otos also seem happier, hopefully they'll get to work eventually ont he algae on the front of my tank... although I'm sure there's a bit on the driftwood in there to. I don't want to scrub it off the front yet, but I don't want it to be there forever either.
i've got a male and a female in my 45g. ph is ~6.8 because i put peat pellets in the canister filter, however the ph at petco is 8.0 and they do ok there. acclimate it slowly and it should be ok.
i have 2 one in my 30 and one with my puffers very tough stocky fish completely ignored by my puffers my ph is about 7.5-8
