I will give that a shot and see what happens.

Yeah my bristlenose loved it. Plus the other fish don't really seem too interested in the cucumber.

How do you normally mount (or where do you place) the veggies? My bristlenose never leaves the hardscape in the middle of the tank. Unless he moves at night, he never goes on the substrate. I assume you just need to be creative in ways to keep it attached somewhere?

you could use a veggie clip like they sell for goldfish, or i just tuck it under rocks or driftwood, OR i weigh it down with a fork :)

I use a veggie clip to put slices of raw zuchinni in my tanks, they love it!

Do you think my daughter's pink fork makes my scape look unnatural ? Anyways, I tried several methods to weigh the slice down with no luck so I had to resort to the fork.

cute. my pleco (sadly) died about a week ago, but I just recently bought a new one.( lfs said it was a bushynose, but he sure looks like a bristlenose. not sure how much of a difference there is between the two...) He's about twice the size of any I've ever had. If I were to guess his size, I would say he is probably almost 4 inches. I'm hoping he gets bigger, possibly around 6 inches but it sounds like he is probably full grown. Here is a decent picture I got of him two days after I got him.

Here he is! His name is Uncle Bobby. (sorry it's a bit blurry and there are a few water stains on the outside of the tank.)
