Bristlenose disappeared

Yeah, it is weird to put in a new fish and not have seen him once since lol. I am more concerned about making sure he is eating than anything......I have searched the tank a few times with a flashlight without any sightings. I have moonlight blue LEDs that are on for about 2 hours each night before they shut off to total darkness and I haven't seen him in that period either.

Huh... He must've found a pretty good hiding spot! Yeah I have algae in my tank so I don't worry as much about him getting food. But I have to watch when I put I his algae wafer as my guppies go and attack it. (I've had to fight them off with a net once or twice so he'd actually be able to eat some of it. :P)

My hardscape unfortunately has 3 or 4 large holes that I am sure he is hiding in......I guess the question is whether or not he is alive

He is in there somewhere, give him time to settle in and get comfortable.

Yeah. I'm sure he's fine just give him some time. I like to put some cucumber in there (either raw or you can blanch it. I always just put it in raw.) and my old one would always come out of wherever he was hiding in a short period of time :)

Good news! He or she finally made an appearence....it was a whole 20 seconds but he did show up on the hardscape. He looks like nothing like he did when I first bought him lol....the colors and spots are much brighter. Too bad I didn't get to see much of him I will check him out again in a few weeks when he shows up again.

Thats great! It's amazing how much they can change colors once you bring them home.

I spent 20 minutes one day looking for two clown plecos and finally found them. Attached to the filter
I never see them either - only their poop

He finally seems to be out a little more often....I am still concerned about him eating though. There is plenty of algae in the tank for him to munch on. I tried the algae wafers but my catfish just tears it up as soon as it hits the bottom.

I say still try some cucumber or something. Those you can leave in overnight, and it'll be in there long enough for him to sniff it out and try it.
