I just bought myself an Albino Bristlenose Pleco today! It is only about an inch long right now. I was wondering if he will get those bushy lookin wiskers on his nose? I have seen some pictures with them and some without. He doesn't have any now but I thought maybe he would grow some as he matured?
If your fish is a male, the "bristles" will become very pronounced. The females I have seen have somewhat less. By the way, how are things in the Summit City? You've been away for awhile.
If yours is only an inch long it may take a while before you see the bristles. (if its a male) My males were nearly 3" before I started to see bristles and are now between 4 -5" and have quite a few.

Comando is right - they poop constantly. You might not notice it as much as you have gravel in your tank. Mine is a mostly bare bottom tank and I always have to vacuum up the pleco poo. They also like drift wood and will graze on it if you have any.
I, too, have nothing to add. I just wanted to point out how fun it is to say "pleco poo". PLECO POO!
