8 Inch Catfish?

Im looking to find some catfish that are around 8 inches to about 10 inches. Any suggestions?

Raphael catfish get to about 6-8". There's also some species of Synodontis that are in that 8-10" range. Pictus cats are a bit smaller at around 4". Those are just some off the top of my head.

Yea I like the Pictus cats but theyre too small and I was thinking about getting the Raphaels but I was wondering if there were anymore. Ill check out some of the Synodontis cats.

My pictus is a full six inches, I've had him for two years. He was one of my very first fish.
If he wasn't such a grumpy bugger, always hiding in his cave, I'd take a pic. IMHO he's a beauty!
I really like the Synodontis too. I hope to one day keep one.

Yea. Im planning on getting a Tiger Oscar in the near future and Im looking for a catfish to put with it. I wanna have it all planned out before I get anything. Then Ill decide what size tank to get.

Check the water parameters. I believe the synos like harder water.

Kymmie, you'll have to sneak up on that bad boy and snap his pic when he's not looking. You know how we love pics here! lol

So far all I can manage is a full face shot. I placed his "cave" (a huge chunk of Malaysian driftwood with openings on each end) with one opening facing forward and he's always right there, waiting for his food. I use a turkey baster to "shoot it" into the opening and marvel at the speed at which he gulps it down. His mouth is huge!
Maybe I'll be a total brat and have the B/F ready with the camera and I'll use my hand to chase him out of the cave. He knows to make a mad dash right around it and come in from the other side so I doubt I'd get a good pic. Actually, I'd feel bady if I did that. I'm such a "softie".
