Thinking about trying to get Ruby Nerite eggs to hatch
Ive got three that are leaving eggs all over the place and would like to see if I can get them to hatch. Ive done some research on the subject and have found that it can either be really hard to do or really easy ( it depends on what post you read) my tank is brackish with a SG of 1.006. I have been leaving the eggs in the main tank but have not seen any new ones. my guess is either they are not hatching due to a low calcium condition or the F8 puffer is eating them.
what I plan to do is:
Get a bucket and put tank water in it from the next WC. use a piece of the rock thats in the tank that has algae on it and hope they lay eggs on it. then put that rock into the bucket with a slow air feed add algae wafers as needed. Add calcium supplement or get crushed coral sand bed
How can I test for the calcium level in my tank.
any other thought or ideas are most welcomed!!!
