Arrow raising salinity in GSP tank

we just purchased a green spotted puffer online and received him in the mail two days ago. he is the cutest thing ever! hes an eager eater and happily swims around his new home!!

we drip acclimated him for over 3 hours to get him used to the brackish water we had set up in the tank.

the current specific gravity is 1.011. we would like to get it up to 1.017

how slowly should we raise the salinity in the tank?
