ideas for a archer fish tank.

i'm thinking of setting up a brackish tank for archers with an embankment coming out of the water, and a selection of submersed, emersed, and terrestrial plants. i would feed strickly live food... my question is, can anyone think of some sort of reptile or amphibeon that would also eat live food, but would get along with the archer? my first thought was some sort of turtle, but it might try to eat the archer.

i realize whatever i get would probably need freshwater to drink, but does anyone have any ideas?

i was thinking maybe a 40 gal, but then again, if i had a 40 gal now, I would probably just keep it fresh and fill it with endlers and plants... oh well...

Any reptile or amphibian will do poorly in a brakish aquarium.

A reptile such as an anole will suffer in the extreme humidity and will probaly contract a bacterial disease.

An amphibian will be dehydrated in the brakish water the same way a slug gats dehydraded from salt, although not as much.

Even if you provided a fresh water section in the tank for the frog it will still eventually fall into the brakish section.

I have kept reptiles before and they need the same amount of care and consideration as tropical fish.
