When I bought my 4 F8 puffers I didn't realise they'd been caught in the wild in Indonesia and flown to the UK, the stress of it all for them makes me shudder and I prob wouldn't have bought them if I'd known because it doesn't sit well with me
(I've since found out this how many pet fish get to aquariums and am trying to get my head round it)
But now they're here I am determined to give them as good a life as possible. They have a lovely tank, and will get bigger ones as they get bigger, it's well planted with real and fake plants, caves to hide in, rocks to hide behind, bubbles from an air pump that they seem to enjoy swimming through, I give them a varied diet of appropriate food and am meticulous in water changes and water parameters.
Despite this I worry they may get bored as they can remember swimming free in their river and now they only have a tank. They're not showing signs of bordom and seem inquizative and interested in what happens outside their tank.
Am I just being OTT about this or does it bother other fish keepers! I'd love to know your thoughts on this
