ph,salinity and temp are tottaly different things. ph is how alkaline, acidic or neutral the water is.salinity is how much salt content is in the water and temp well you know already what temp is. for example a Goldfish in a fw tank with a ph of 7.0 can't live in a marine tank with a ph of 7.0 just because it has the right ph. they need all 3 plus a good maintained tank large enough to house them to be healthy and live well. brakish water is in the middle of fw and sw and are meant only for certain species unless time is given in producing a fish that has a high tolerance to salt which should be gradually as in many generations and not a few days in a week.
