Question brackish question

Have a 20g saltwater not using still running with live rock. Can you bring the salinity down to brackish level and have brackish fish with the live rock in it and reguiem for filter??? Plan to have a couple puffers and black molly

I think 20 gallons is way to small for a couple puffers, I'm assuming you're thinking about Green Spotted puffers? GSP's do fine in marine, but that tank is too small. I believe you can keep live rock in salinity as low as 1.019.
