acclimating fw fish to established brackish tank
I'd like to add a juvenile dragon goby to my mudskipper tank (it has a tapered land platform over deep water) - I've seen dragons for sale in stores that are keeping them in fresh water.
So, obviously if I buy one of those, I'll have to quarantine in fresh water and slowly raise the salinity.
My question is, how slowly? My mudskipper tank is around 0.011. How slowly should I adjust the dragon's water to that level? A day? A week? A month?
The question would also apply to other fish in the future - for example if I wanted to add mollies, etc...
(PS - before you warn me about putting a dragon goby into a 20 gallon tank with a mudskipper - I have a plan. I have a 150 gallon aquairum in storage for my turtles, which will open up their 50 gallon breeder to create a much larger mudskipper/goby habitat - I just need to get a bigger apartment for myself first, so I have room for the 150g ... by the time the dragon grows up, I'll have a a new home ready)
