It will be fine. Actually did you buy it yet? I'm going to be looking this weekend to possibley upgrading my Rena X3 to a canister filter with a uv steralizer. Pay for shipping and a few buck and you can have mine if I upgrade. I think 2 canister filters will be over kill for one tank and they X3 worked great in my old 29g! I'm not thrilled with it in the 55g though. Unless your looking to go out today and buy it, give me till Sunday afternoon and I'll let you know.
