since enough trace elements are usually provided in synthetic salt for FO /FOWLR.
As far as dechlorinator , I guess ok if your tap or RO water has chloramine for FO/FOWLR tank but I would not use any dechlorinator for reef set up. I rather just age the tap or RO water for reef since I very rarely done more than 5 % pwc at a time for reef. But always had reserve circulation 24/7/365.
