I think I'm going to go with a deep sand bed. Any suggestions on the sand and a price estimate

You want to use Oolite sand. Here it is from MarineDepot. It took me two 20 lb bags to fill my tank and it is a twenty gallon tall. I think it could take two 30 lb bags to fill a 30, if it is the 30" x 12" base.

I have to run, but I thiink I can find a better price tonight on that sand. I will post before I go to bed.

PetMountain

Looks like you can get free shipping on your first order over $49, and two bags of sand will be around $62.50. This might be the best deal.
