To add, I have noticed lots of air bubbles on the heaters, power head, etc. Normal?

Completely normal when you first add them to the tank. New tanks/appliances will have bubbles all over.

i'm following your thread :)
that's a beautiful tank,i hope you get the results you're looking for.

when you set up a new tank,hide an extra
sponge or two behind some decor,that way you have
something seeded for you next filter.

Set up: 40 Gal Coral Reef (soon to be!)
2xKoralia 2, 1xHeater 150watt, 1xTunze 9002 skimmer, 50lbs x live rock, 1" argonite sand bed, 1xPhosban Reactor
Livestock: 2xclowns, 1xBlue Tang, 1xCleaner Shrimp, 1xConch, 5xTrochus Snails, 1xBlood Shrimp, 3xHermits, 1xSea Urchin

yes it's hard to get going with this,my geckos were easier lol
still,i don't mind the researching at all,i'm still in the process of not starting
