replacement lighting

when replacing NO (normal output) florescents can you just purchase regular standard or do they have to be aquarium approved? in other words, can i go to home depot and just by regular lighting?

home depot has aquarium lights in there Fluorescent section the only difference is they are way cheaper than a LFS .... but if they dont have them in stock then a normal bulb would work if its fresh water and no live plants

I'm not seeing any plants in your aquarium but if you do have some live plants then you will need to buy a bulb with a rating as close to 6500k as you can, as this is what is close to natural sunlight. Just figure out the bulb length and T rating and find something identical.
