Thumbs down New to saltwater.. Pls help

Hi everyone.. Well today i just bought myself a new 14 gallon biocube with stand was wondering what i should do to start.. What i heard at the pet store was start off with live rock and sand to build up the bacteria in the tank.. But how long do i cycle for and after cycling do i start with plants den fish? Pls help.. Im very new to saltwater aquatics.. What do i do for starters? Will post pictures soon..

Exclamation Update: To biocube 14

So yesterday i just bought the protein skimmer and the hydrometer.. was wondering whether i should by the premade saltwater and put the live sand and live rock in or should i make my own mixture.. and if so what salt mixture should i get?
