lighting question

hey everybody, been a member for a while.. but havent posted(life has been crazy for a while, hadent had any free time) but im back..(happy happy) . well anyway to the question, i have had a planted freshwater tank for a while. i originally wanted a reef tank, but wifey talked me into fresh water instead.. well i decided i want my reef tank.. do doing some research first.. for a 75 gal reeftank, will 2 t5 1000k bulbs and 2 t5 acentic bulbs plus 4 lunad led's be suffecient, or should i go with 3 10k and 3 acentic...

i think i personally would do a 6 bulb retrofit t5 on a 75 myself. i would also look into different bulb combinations.

a 4 bulb would work for lower light corals, soft corals, some LPS but wouldnt for SPS, clams, or anemones.

The more white light you can get into the tank, the more Reef Corals you are able to keep, like the Clams and Anemones and SPS. So, with a 4 bulb unit, use all 10-12k lamps. You have more options with the 6 lamp fixture, you can throw in the actinics for color rendering.

if your somewhat handy a DIY retrofit kit can be cheaper if you have a canopy to mount it in.
