I wasn't able to get the test kit yesterday but we are leaving now for the store. Here are a few things I want to keep in my tank. Please let me know if any of them will not be good for my tank.

Pulsing Xenia
Feather Duster Worm
Christmas Tree Worm
Goby - not sure what kind of Goby

Thats what I have so far but I'm sure I'll find things I want. I'm headed out now so I should have my testing done and the results up in an hour or two.

Went to the LFS and asked for the API Saltwater Test Kit and he said they didn't carry it. So I went to Petsmart and bought one for $27 and came home and did four tests. pH, Ammonia, Nitrite, and Nitrates. Here are the results for a before-water-change test.

pH - 8.1 (I have buffer to get it up if needed)
Ammonia - 0
Nitrite - .25
Nitrates - 20

So yea, guy at the LFS is a tard. So with no ammonia, little nitrites, and nitrates going up, I take it that the tank is still in its cycle but nearing the end of it? The algae bloom could have signaled the beginning of the nitrates going up. I will do another test after the water change tonight and post the results after the test.

So any comments, suggestions, concerns, advice?
