bettababy You said you keep a brittly star in your 15 gallon.Wont he grow to big?
Depends upon what type. Brittle and Serpent have become so intermixed that people use the names for almost all that are similar. The brittle stars do actually get larger. The serpents stay about 6" and under. Telling them apart is almost impossible. The all black ones and the pink ones tend to be serpents as will stay a bit smaller. The method I use is if the spikes are straight out most of the time it's probably a brittle. If the spikes are soft and seem to flow, serpent.
