Ceramic decorations?

Can I put ceramics as decoration in a fish only marine tank? Does it matter if they are glazed or unglazed?

Unglazed and they will grow beneficail bacteria for you, kinda like making your own live rock. Glazed and they will grow mor than likely algae on them. Using shells to do your own is fine.
