Are micro bubbles bad in a saltwater setup. The output tube of my Eshopps 100H has bubbles coming out of it and I can't get rid of them no matter what I do. The circulation pumps push the micro bubbles through out the tank. In freshwater I wouldn't be worried about them just not sure about salt.
THey are not bad, just ugly. And when they pop you will get salt creep everywhere. Try a black sponge filter on the return section of the skimmer, this will alleviate that bubble problem. Penguin 660R Power Sponge Filter
It already has a sponge on the return line. The sponge reduces the amount of bubbles but doesn't take it away totally. Do you think I have the skimmer adjusted wrong or is is still breaking in. Its right about 12 days old.
Could be. Take it out of the tank, give it a vineagar and water scrub down, this will take the resin off of th acrylic, and then we'll get a better idea whats up.
