IMO the dosers that gravity dose are just that. they basically drip whatever your dosing into the tank but you cant regulate how much or how often.
I agree, but I think this is used for that type of application... unless you were trying to keep from doing it daily, or everyother day.
If you only have fish or soft corals, then you don't need to dose. If you are keeping LPS, watch the #'s and gauge you dosing. If you are keeping SPS, then you will need to watch this more closely. If you only keep a handful of SPS and LPS, then with routine waterchanges, it'll replinish these missing elements. If you keep quite a bit or a lot of SPS and LPS then you'll need to dose more often. Always watch your #'s before dosing.
