Acrylic or glass?

Due to the fact that I would like to keep a naso and hippo tang, I am now considering an 8 foot (2 ft wide) fowlr tank instead of my original plan of a 6 footer. My question is however, will a glass tank hold about 150-180 pounds of live rock? I have been looking around and the cost of a glass aquarium at this size is about $1000 cheaper than an acrylic. Any experience?

My tank is 8' x 2' x 2' for 240 gallons. My tank is full of Tangs. I would suggest Glass, and if you can, get it with Starfire Glass on front and sides, as its cleared.
Acrylic over time will get scratched all up, and you'll have to take it down to polish those scratches out.

Have you ever had any problems with it holding rock? I am going to have a fowlr setup and will have about 180 pounds of rock.

Oh I forgot to add, I have 280lbs of rock in my tank. There won't be any problem with your tank holding rock.
