I don't think so, but are you SURE your fish have worms? In my nearly 20 years of keeping fish, I've never seen a single case of parasitic worms (except in wild-caught fish)

i had a healthy tank for 4 months, no problems. it had 3 platys, i bought one more platy , she turned out to be sick . she never ate, but the others started pooping white and stringy. every thing i researched said internal parasites. maybe thats not worms, my mistake.

Those symptoms could also be constipation.

As toyour question of harming JF, I also doubt it. JF is pretty tough. Some anti-biotics will decimate softer plants.

Something we all need to remember: The fish you've acquired was quite happy not being owned by you, minding its own business. If you’re going to take it under your wing then you’re responsible for it. Every aspect of its life is under your control, from water quality and temperature to swimming space. [Nathan Hill in PFK]
