Tell me all about it. I looked at the profile but in one area it says it should be put in the back of the aquarium as it grows fast and needs to be pruned often. In another area it says Growth rate, Slow? Who all has it, and what do you like or dislike about it? Mine doesn't exactly look like the plant in the profile but it says the leaves can vary based on the amount of light it gets.
I have some in my 10 and it is getting better now. I'm pretty sure that I have some hard water so that might he the reason why it's not doing so well. I think the growth depends on your water params. I think that most plants like sifter water though. Just put it in a spot in your tank and depending on how it grows move it or don't move it. It's a really cool plant in my opinion though. I have some in a few tanks. I have hard water and low light 15watt fluorescent. I bought some at a trocpical fish auction that came from someone that had co2. I was not sure how it would do in my low light tank. I do not have co2 I have pool filter sand in my tanks. It is doing good and I was able to get some more sold at Petsmart for $2.49 a bunch. It can be divided up to make new plants. You can just break off a peice of the stem and plant that or a peice from the top. Some of mine has lacy leaves but some of the newer peices are not lacy. Here is a picture next to the big rock in my tank in the background that has the lacy leaves. This plant can be planted or be a floating plant also. It sends out small thread like roots and does well in my low light hard water tanks. It does grow slowly but looks nice once it gets bigger.
Mine that I just bought looks like yours - nice tank by the way. I see the guppies you've been gifted with. )My fish like to poke around in it. I haven't noticed them eating it, or it growing yet, but I like the fullness of it and the bright green color.

LOL Thanks. They have got to be some of the more expensive free gifts I have received. lol Now they are constantly picking at each other, much like My Tiger Barbs in the larger tank. I just thought in case they did have babies, the Wisteria would give the fry a fighting chance to hide in it.
This morning there is dampness in the heater... I am having concerns about that. I just bought the darn thing yesterday and today that. Not to mention it was a kit and it was missing the thermometer.
Isn't that annoying? Another trip back to the store, that is if you don't zap yourself when you unplug it.
I have a suggestion for your nippy guppies. Hold your receipt for their new home up to the fish tank glass and show them how much money you spent on them, maybe they'll settle down a bit.

If only that would work it would be great. I am a little disgusted with the goings on since purchasing this set. First, I got it set up and had to run back to the store because the thermometer was missing in action. THEN this morning I notice moisture INSIDE the heater. I had to run that back today and got a different heater. How irritating. Add in another $10.00 in gas for these free guppies
Thanks for changing the profile Byron. It didn't matter I was just curious as to other folks experience with this plant. It is different looking then other plants that I have so... Nice change, I hope.
Mine has exploded in my tank! Purchased them from Petsmart about 5 wks ago, they are already about 12" tall and 12" wide. They are a very vivid green color and filling in the tank nicely. Best looking easiest plant that I have. I am starting to trim and add to another tank, waiting to see how this works out.
Sik80 and Brad, Do you guys have any current pictures of your Wisteria in your tanks? I am curious as to what I have not looking like others. I know it says the leafy part can vary. Just curious to see others plants.
My Wisteria is to the right of the Pennywort in this photo: (and remember when I told you that Hygrophila corymbosa grew like a weed in my tank? That's it on the far left, up against the back wall of the tank)
It looks perfectly normal to me. Remember all, that this plant is very variable in its leaf shape as a result of water conditions and light. I have had the same stem grow differently over a period of months due to varying light and nutrients.
That is kind of neat how it adapts to different water levels.
