If your desperate, you could find some in the wild then keep them in a bucket of water for at least 3weeks. Sure theres a risk of transporting all kinds of parasites, bacteria, snails, flatworms, etc.

Its just an idea I'm not telling anyone to do this.

I do this for science!

Too dangerous, what with all the pollution nowadays. It's iffy enough just to pick up driftwood, even when you boil it for days on end.
