If your LFS don't carry them, try searching online or on eBay. I get mine from an online store which is excellent - it depends where you're located though. I'm in the United Kingdom.
I'm in the US as well; Arkansas specifically. Good number of my plants come from floridadriftwood.com. Been buying from Dwight for many, many years. Check it out.
If your desperate, you could find some in the wild then keep them in a bucket of water for at least 3weeks. Sure theres a risk of transporting all kinds of parasites, bacteria, snails, flatworms, etc.
Its just an idea I'm not telling anyone to do this.
Why not try forum classifieds? Your money goes directly back to the hobby and hobbyists.
