When can I move daugher plants

Just found out that my Vallisneria Spiralis 'Leopard' has started giving me daughter plants. I have two that look like they have come from the same plant. Each of the daughter plants have about 4 leaves each and the leaves are about 2 inches long. I would like to relocate these from where they are right now. How long should I wait before moving them? Also is there anything special that I need to do when I do move them? Thanks

Based on my very limited experience with Vals, the longer you wait to separate the runners from the parent plant, the better developed the root systems will be and the faster you'll get even more runners forming!

Be very careful not to bury the root "crown", or whatever it's called, Vals are very sensitive about that!

Agree. One other comment, Vals do better if they can have some clumping. In other words, let some of the runner plants stay with the parent plants. They like being in tight groups. But aside from this, move them as DKRST said.
