That really depends, angels like all sorts of plants in fact I cant think of any aquatic plants they will not tolerate. The question is what plants will work in your tank. You will need to specify what we are dealing with, i.e. Aquarium size, lighting, chemical parameters, inhabitants.

20g long or tall?

what is regular lighting? the flouresant tube that comes standard?
you may want to add atleast one more strip of light and replace the bulbs with "full spectrum" bulbs. you can find these in your size fairly cheap at home depot or lowes.

i would go with a few plants. tall plants seem to work nicely as the angels are shaped in a way where they can dart in and out with ease, but as mentioned angels will feel more secure with any kinds of plants.
i recommend looking on liveaquaria.com for a very general idea of plant care on individual types as well as pictures of them, just find ones you look and research them more.

Yes , sorry, It is the flouresant lighting. It's a 20G tall tank.Is one more stripe of light going to be enough for the tall tank?

Thanks,
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!.

Check the bulb and see how many watts it is. Also check the fixture to see what wattage it is rated for. Even if it is high enough I would replace it anyway with a bulb in the 6700K range. Besides the fact that bulbs need replacing every 6-12 months in a planted aquarium, you need the right K rating anyway to make sure you grow plants, not algae !
