Am I the only one picturing everyone gearing up with tweezers, microscopes, and maybe swords and shields? xD

And 'carnivorous plant' kind of creeps me out a bit, getting some Little Shop Of Horrors imagery going on right now.

Anyways, I hope you can get rid of it! I always feel bad getting rid of plants, but you gotta do what you gotta do.

I mean, I've already planning on removing the cabomba and the wisteria.. not sure if that would eliminate the problem though. I've already moved all the pennywort to the substrate because I want to have it eventually growing up from the substrate in between some big swords and then maybe growing long/tall enough to be the shaded floating plants at the top.

Not sure how bothered my fish would be about not having any floating plants for a little bit while I try to get rid of this.. I've got two bulbs in my light, not sure how well my plants would do with only one light. Ugh.
Hopefully the swords I'm getting in will be tall and large enough that I can just take out the other plants and the fish can hide amongst some big sword leaves if the light bothers them.. =/ Poor lil dudes.

Very cool plant.

Jeff.

Total years fish keeping experience: 7 months, can't start counting in years for a while yet.

The shotgun approach to a planted tank with an LED fixture

Small scale nitrogen cycle with a jar, water and fish food; no substrate, filter etc

It's not taking over my betta tank and I think it looks sort of cool. I'd still like to know what it eats.
