OK, I want to get a 75 gallon tank planted with a bunch of dwarf hairgrass, and other cool plants. What do I need to make this tank flourish? What is a 50/50 lamp? I was looking at this one on the sponsor site. Would this be enough for me or do I need something stronger?

Follow the link and input your dimensions where you can down the page and this will tell you where you are as far as the standard for lighting. I would go for high light for hairgrass and this will also allow you to grow almost any if not any plant.

hi there,

The type of substrate you use is also very important,

I had a devilish time getting plants to grow and be healthy. Among the many things I corrected the one very noticeable was chaging my substrate

I have had a great success with ADA's Amazonia.

go to this link and check it out, its a little on the pricey side, but for the past year my plants have gone bonkers and I find myself always trimming them back and bringing th etrimmings into work to give to co-workers

What exactly is a 50/50 lamp? Does that mean half MH and half CF?
