ok today i went to my FS and i asked if they had any floating plants? the gentleman said yes and walked me over to the plant section, he than opened up one of the aquarium lids and i was amazed O_O i saw a bed of plants and he said it was water lettuce, so i asked how much are they? he said $1.99 for a handfull i than said "GET ME SOME NOW" (I wasent that assertive) so now i have water lettuce and im not sure how long i have till my aquarium is COVERED in it. Any one have any suggestions?
I had those lovely plants before. However, a lid on the tank is a bad idea as they cannot tolerate condensation forming on their leaves. I placed them in my pond and they multiply more rapidly than in the tank. A bit messy but the roots provide perfect sanctuary for fry.
yea thats what i was thinking since i have most liveberers
