Wanted: Aquascape Improvement Ideas

I could use some ideas on how to improve my tanks look. I think it falls into the 'okay' category, but not great. For reference this is a 125 gallon, 6 foot tank. It's 18.5" wide and 23" deep.

The photo below doesn't show the entire tank (the left and right ends) as I can't get far enough back with my camera to get it all in one shot. The left back corner has a large piece of driftwood that extends all the way up to nearly the top of the water. The right side has one about half the size, I can take pictures of the sides if that will help.

I'm thinking I need something tall along the back, but I don't know. I'm really, really bad at 'designing' spaces.

I should mention that I rotated the spray bar (you can see it in the top left of the picture) to point at the back wall, this removed the surface current and the floating plants now cover the entire surface instead of avoiding the left side like the picture shows.

It'd help to get pictures of the whole thing. Looks nice and green though. :) what sort of water do you have.. if you want something tall have you considered vals or something like crypt spiralis (sp).

I like to go to youtube and type in planted aquariums and you will see some of the most beautiful tanks ever created. You can get some inspiration or ideas from some of these tanks. Your tank looks nice though.

Geo - can you take pics of the tank ends? Maybe a shot of the left side, center, and right side? I know that thing is so huge, it's impossible to take shots of. . . I like it just the way it is, but I'd LOVE to get my hands in there and set it up!!! Also a plant list... I know you have pygmy chain sword, and crypt spirallis - what else is in there now?

I'd get something like anacharis that'll grow tall enough to cover the back up.
Or, have you thought about a moss wall? It'd take a TON of moss for that tank though.

taking a break from fish-keeping.
3 lovely male betta still keep me company.

I'll do that tonight when the sun is down (too much glare on the glass otherwise).

Plants I have (might be missing something):

Microsorum pteropus
Ceratopteris thalictroides
Cryptocoryne crispatula
Cryptocoryne wendtii
Cryptocoryne spiralis
Echinodorus amazonicus
Echinodorus cordifolius
Echinodorus tenellus
Echinodorus osiris
Echinodorus martii
Sagittaria platyphylla
Anubias hastifolia
Anubias coffeefolia
Anubias afzelii
Wisteria

I can't find Java Moss, I'd love some to put on a few driftwood pieces in there. The only places I see on ebay/aquabid are foreign (heck no to that), or random people that I just don't get warm and fuzzy feelings from seeing their listings.

Can't wait to see the new shots - you KNOW that was just a ploy to see ALL of the tank in one thread, right? ;) I'm SURE you can find some Java moss from someone around here! If mine ever starts to go crazy like it's supposed to, I'll be sure to save you some :D

Java moss is a pain...... it grows so fast, and within weeks is 4 to 5 inches long.. needs trimming all the time. not my favourite to be honest. There are other moss's though, so others might be good, attached to the driftwood.

Peace always..

If you worry you die, and if you don't worry you still die..... so why worry?

How high is your lighting? A red plant like ludwiga or a tiger lotus would be nice to break up all that green. For something tall, Green Cabomba or bacopa caroliniana would do a great job.

55 gallon planted tank, starting over!!!( looking crappy, needs a major rescape)
