Update on my tank

So here I am a cpl weeks later....

Everything is still ALIVE, LOL!!!

The "stock" lighting I am still using is adequate, but the only plant that is showing new growth is the sword that is at the very east end of the tank, that actually gets a little sunlight through the kitchen window in the morning, (tank is right by doorway to kitchen) As soon as hubby builds my new tank stand & hood, we are going to DIY a new lighting system. Still using the Flourish & have added root tabs once.

The pineapple plant however, is starting to fall apart. Not by any fault of its own, but due to my little Opaline Gourami eating it!!! I've had to clip several stalks off that he ate all the way down to the core of the leaf. I am probably going to have to pull this poor plant soon.

I am fixing to finally order a few more plants soon as I am done on the board!

This is what I ended up ordering from Sweet Aquatics:
1 x Ludwigia Palustris, 3 x Vallisneria Asiatica Var. Biwaensis (Corkscrew Val), 1 x Water Wisteria (Hygrophila Difformis), 2 x Rotala Indica (Rotala Rotundifolia)
2 x Ludwigia Natans (Ludwigia Repens)

A couple of these Iam going to add to my 10G (I have 20 watts in there, its a typical size 10G so I think it has plenty of light) the rest I am going to add to whats already in the 55G

Took the pineapple plant out this morning. Lil opaline has pretty much destroyed it. After I pulled it turns out the root ball looked like it was starting to rot anyways. Darn!

Going to completely update my tank's plant list after I receive the new plants and designate where they are all going. I never updated the list when I planted it before.

BTW... I am having trouble updating the tank info on both of my tanks... every time I save it doesn't work...

John - the L. natans is the only reddish plant in my 55G, I put 1 small bunch of it in the front L corner of the 10g.

The water wisteria is in pics # 5 & 7 of the 55g, behind the rt end of the driftwood & behind a bunch of the L. natans. It was in a huge bunch that was all stuck together so I just planted it all in 1 spot.

Thanks Johnny!!!!!!

Yes the L. natans is the reddish plants in the 55g. I planted it in a few different bunches.

I think the L. natans and the Corkscrew Vals are my favs. Can you believe how tall those Vals came?
