I scrubed my wood and that got rid of it. I know how you feel about being plant less my 55 is the one I had the problem with and all I have left in it right now are three small sword, two bananna plants, and some very short stem plants. I am going to be ordering more plants hopefully next weet to fix the tank with.

Yeah it is especially hard to accept because this tank was so thick and lush just a few months ago. It was litterally over flowing with beautiful plants, now there is not one that looks that great. How depressing. I can't help but think of the money but more so the asthetics. Ugh! Lot of work and nothing to show now. Darn algae

Ha Ha Yeah. Well, I am working on it. I just did a major clean again and kind of rubbed some of the fuzz off the leaves, cut out a bunch more and am thinking of going to the store to see if they have anything interesting to add. Then part of me thinks, I best wait unti this looks better?

I know exactly how you feel, my impulse control sucks. I always tend to rush into things, patience is not one of my virtures but I do think it's probably best to wait and see how it looks in a week or two. I would be kicking myself in the butt if I put in fresh plants and it went south because I didn't want to wait.

Yeah. :( Waiting isn't easy for me either but one thing this hobby has taught me is that it is better to do so then waste money, time and energy. It is just really hard because it looked so nice before. Now that I rubbed some of the fuzz off most of the leaves it looks a little better but I am currently down to about 1/5th the amount of plants I did have in there. It looks so bare but the upside is I can see my fish again. I was beginning to wonder if I had any left in there. ha ha

LOL they have lost their hidding places poor fish. And I agree wait until you find the fix to the problem because if you do not the new plants will end up with it as well. ; )
