In my experience Riccia (which is a good floating plant) reproduces more quickly than java moss. It's a lot greener too. Course I dose my small tank with Flourish Comprehensive and the stuff is too the point it's...growing to well. It's something to look into. Throwing some root tabs under the java fern roots, and the anubias will help it pump out more growth.
