One of my African Swords has a long sprout that goes to the top of the tank and looks like it has 2 other plant sprouts, I am wondering if I could trim these off and plant them so they would grow on there own. If so how should I do it? I have another 10 gallon I got off ebay and I am going to make it a planted tank to. Here is a picture so you guys can see what I mean. It is the long stem that is on the right side of the tank, you cant see what looks like baby plant very well one is about half way up the stem and the other is at the very top. The one at the top looks like it has roots running off of it.
Keeping fish its not a hobby it is a passion!
55 gallon, 44 gallon, one 20 gallon tank, three 10 gallon tanks, and a 2.5 gallon all with real plants.
I have MTS and there is no cure.
that little stem will flower when it reaches the top of the water i beleave. you just take the plant and pull it down the stalk until it comes off then plant it. you dont wanna do it until the little ones are about 1/3 the size of the mom.
