It took me emailing them twice to get a response about when my plants were going to be shipped. Altogether I think it was about 2 weeks maybe 3 (can't remember now) before I got my plants then I didn't get 2 of the plants that I ordered and the ones that I did were in very bad shape.

I can only comment about Planted Aquarium Central since they are the only ones so far I have ordered live plants from. The plants I got were in superior shape, better than any of my LFS and both times I got them in less than a week.

The first time I placed an order on a Saturday and had them Friday, second time I ordered them on Sunday and had them Wednesday...it might have been Thursday lol

I just ordered from Planted Aquarium Central via ebay. Shipping was $6.99 for the first plant a $.79 for any plant after that. I got extra plants on top of what I ordered, and everything looked great. My vals were a bit on the yellow side, but the plants were also stuck in the mailbox for a few hours. They're doing pretty well now for the week that I've had them. I felt like they were pretty cheap..

I have also ordered from aquaticmagic on ebay (also on aquabid) and they were awesome, but they do ship from Singapore so I wouldn't get any fragile plants and the shipping itself does take a while.. They'd shipped my package within a couple days of me ordering though. I purchased anubias from them and it took about 12 days before they arrived, but only one of the plants was really yellow - the rest were almost all dark green and they're all doing well. It was a very generous amount of plants.

I guess sweet aquatics would've been a few dollars cheaper as far as the plants, but shipping for the 4 groups of plants I bought shipping was less than $9.00.. So I might've paid a couple dollars extra, but I got my plants from planted aquarium central in half the time and the plants arrived looking beautifully.

My last order was with Mikeswetpets on e-bay. I got them within 3-4 days and the quality was amazing.

He discounts shipping with groups of plants as well and the shipping wasn't all that much.

Animal testing is a terrible idea; they get all nervous and give the wrong answers.

Two days since I sent an email, still haven't heard from sweet aquatics. She has one more day. This is frustrating.

IMO buy from members in the FS section. That way you support them, WYSIWYG, and the prices are almost always much better. Of course you might not be able to find what you want when you want it...but I think a little patience pays off in the end.

they are so cheap and i feel like in this hobby getting anything for cheap is worth it lol

all my plants arrived green and i have lost 0 (zero) all the swords had the submerged version of the leaves

all in all if your not in a hurry id order from them.

i agree its probably a small organization and they just dont have the man power. Just think of how many of us on this forum order from them now multiply that by the rest of the fish keeping community. its not wonder they are 3 weeks behind.

my biggest problem was always their out of stock on almost all the cool stuff all the time.
That's pretty accurate. It's not a 50+ employee operation, it's a family owned-business trying to do a service to the hobby. The only time I've ever had a plant arrive poorly, they were more than happy to replace it. Take pictures of the plants and email them. They care about customer satisfaction.
