It doesn't matter. Any plants will be fine although floating plants are better than rooted ones.

Sent from my desktop or phone or whatever else I am holding on to

I'm ready for the pressure.
The drama and the pleasure!
If there is one thing I want to see here, it's HUMOR.
I believe I can fly!
I believe I can touch the sky!
I think about it every night and day!
I stand in awe of my body.

Bettas will enjoy any plant really. Floating plants are good, like suggested, but just make sure that there is still some surface area left open for him to breathe.

I've got Rotala indica, Ludwegia repens, Riccia (floating), java moss, and Cryptocoryne retrospiralis in my 5.5 betta tank, Java Moss, Java Fern, Bacopa carolinia, Hygrophilia corymbosa and H. difformis, and Anubias barteri v. nana v. petit in my 10. The 5.5 looks much better. I'm thinking about ripping out the hygro and adding more bacopa and some sags to the 10.

Logic is only the beginning of wisdom
