Star Moss

Hey guys, some potentially exciting news. I have seen star moss on the market for aquarium plants. I also just recently noticed the stuff as recently been growing rampantly around our house's yard/lawn! Now I don't know if it is capable of being aquatic, but java moss and chirstmas moss both grow amphibiously in damp environments... so why not the free star moss in my yard? We don't spray any chemicals onto these areas - as I could foresee some huge problems if we did. Is it possible to uproot the star moss from the earth and begin growing it submersed?

If this is so, I might start farming the stuff. Any help or suggestions would be great. I'm getting quite excited about the possibilities.

I'm jealous, some day my MTS disease will lead to a paludarium too :D

As per the pic, the "moss" in my yard is much much smaller, so I dont think they are the same. Its leaves are in very similar scale to that of java moss. I will uproot some of it tomorrow to get some pictures and start experimenting to see if can be grown aquatically.
