I did this because the leaves are pretty long and I didn't want them to overlap. I also let this plant float on the surface for awhile and it does good this ways also. Like Byron said it is a fast grower and I was trimming it every week. I think with the lights you have you would be alright as long as you don't bunch them up.
Thank you for your helpful advise. :)

Its a liquid fertilizer. Seagrams makes one called Flourish Comprehensive. Lots of ppl use it and like how it does. Some petstores carry it some don't. I have in my city that does the others don't. LoL. You can also order online if you can't find it.

Yes, lots of people use "Seagrams" but it won't be good in your aquarium. Methinks you were looking in the liquor cabinet instead of your fish supply area

The fert. name is Seachem Flourish Comprehensive.

LoL yeah that's it okay it was late and I was really tired. Was still @ work so I guess I was thinking Seagrams instead of Seachem because I saw it on the work schedule. Oops Sorry!

H'm, must give that Seagram's a try perhaps...the plants might enjoy it as much as I do.

Back to the true fertilizer, Seachem's Flourish Comprehensive Supplement as Romad mentioned is one, I use this one. Another is Brightwell Aquatics' FlorinMulti. You use very little of either of these (whichever you get), so the initial higher cost compared to some other fertilizers will actually work out to be cheaper long-term. And these two have everything you need, the others often don't.

Byron.
