Please help ID plant

I got this lovely plant in an assorted pack some time back. I just can't figure out what kind of plant it is and would appreciate some help.

It is currently a good 14" tall. It may be capable of more, I just transferred it to a taller tank. In the old tank, the poor thing was bent over. Though it did manage to reproduce anyhow.

A thicker stem shot up with what looked almost like a flower bud. But instead of a flower, a tiny plant bloomed; the first few leaves pulling themselves out of the 'bud'. After that one grew a bit, a second bud-turned-plant popped up out of the younger plant.

Here is a pic of the original. And a pic of the second one still connected to the third. The way they chain reminds me of runners, but this is the only plant that I've seen form upward chains rather than sideways.

I'm betting that is an Undulate Aponogeton (Aponogeton undulatus). Does it have a tuber type root?

It's definately an aponogeton, but don't worry about the species... They hybridize way too easily.

Ya, each plant has a 'knob' at its base. I think you are right, this is Undulate Aponogeton specifically, or a very close relative. It definitely reproduced asexually.

Thanks everyone! :)
